About Us
Established in 1983, CEA is an Australian company that designs, develops, manufactures and sustains advanced active phased array radar systems. We collaborate with Defence to develop highly modular and scalable products that have become integral to a broad range of critical Defence capabilities.
The Position
At CEA Technologies, safety isn't just a compliance requirement – it's a core value. We're looking for an Internal Auditor who's passionate about Work Health, Safety, and Environment (WHSE) and thrives on making a real difference to people, processes, and culture.
This role is more than ticking boxes. You'll be our in-house detective, advisor, and change agent – someone who can connect with people across all levels of the business, uncover what's really happening on the ground, and help turn insights into lasting improvements.
What you'll do:
• Plan, conduct, and report on WHSE internal audits across our operations
• Engage with frontline teams, leaders, and technical experts to understand practices and challenges
• Test compliance with WHSE policies, procedures, and relevant legislation
• Identify practical, achievable improvements – not just "paper fixes"
• Track and verify the close-out of corrective actions
• Provide advice that's backed by evidence, experience, and a collaborative approach
What you'll bring:
• Auditing experience in WHSE (ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 familiarity an advantage)
• A curious mindset with the courage to ask questions and the empathy to listen
• Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and best practice safety systems
• Excellent communication skills – you can write clear reports and hold constructive conversations
• The ability to balance independence with being a trusted business partner
Why you'll love it here:
• Work in a company where safety is backed by action, not just words
• Collaborate with passionate professionals in engineering, manufacturing, and corporate teams
• Be part of an organisation making a tangible impact in its industry
• Competitive salary, professional development opportunities, and the satisfaction of seeing your work directly improve workplace safety
If you're ready to bring fresh eyes, critical thinking, and a genuine commitment to WHSE excellence, we'd love to hear from you.
