 
        
        OverviewWe are seeking a Senior Systems Administrator who is passionate about making technology work for people and strengthening the way our organisation delivers services.In this senior role you will provide advanced technical expertise across our on-premises and cloud-based digital infrastructure, while coordinating the Service Desk team to ensure service levels are consistently maintained. 
As the key escalation point for Level 1 and 2 Service Desk staff, you will balance hands-on systems administration with leadership and mentoring to keep our environment reliable, secure and continuously improving.Key ResponsibilitiesAdminister and maintain the organisation's Microsoft cloud and on-premise environments.Oversee Service Desk operations, ensuring effective triage, timely resolution and excellent customer service.Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues escalated from the Service Desk.Coordinate updates, backups and disaster-recovery activities to maintain operational resilience.Contribute to infrastructure improvements and digital transformation initiatives.Maintain documentation and identify opportunities for automation or process improvement.About YouWe're looking for an experienced IT professional who brings both strong technical capability and a people-focused approach. 
Ideally you will have:At least three to five years' hands-on experience in systems administration and support, including Microsoft enterprise platforms.Solid skills across Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Windows Server and related technologies.Proven ability to lead or mentor a small technical team and manage competing priorities in a busy environment.Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on practical solutions and excellent customer service.Familiarity with automation or scripting tools (such as PowerShell) and ITIL service management principles.Relevant IT qualifications and/or industry certifications (Microsoft, ITIL or security-related) are desirableTo join our team, you will be required to complete required clearances including a National Police Clearance.BenefitsCollaboration: Work in a collaborative team where everyone's ideas are valued, and success is achieved together!
