Job Description
The primary goal of this position is to develop and implement a comprehensive training program for mechanical apprentices, ensuring they possess the necessary skills to excel in their trade.
This role requires strong leadership skills, with the ability to facilitate and manage the training process. You will work closely with the apprentices, providing guidance and support as they progress through their training.
* Developing and implementing a competency-based training program for mechanical apprentices
* Facilitating the apprentice curriculum, including practical and theoretical assessments
* Managing the workshop environment to ensure a safe and productive learning space
* Building relationships with business stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration
About Your Experience
To be successful in this role, you will require significant experience working in an industrial environment, preferably in a mechanical trade capacity. A strong understanding of training methodologies and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances are also essential.
You will need to have:
* A recognized qualification in a mechanical trade, such as Certificate III Engineering, Fitter, or Turner
* At least 5 years' experience in a mechanical trade capacity
* Experience as a facilitator and in a competency-based training environment (desired but not required)
* Strong communication and engagement skills
* High-level literacy, including computer literacy
