About your new role
This Project Officer role provides direct support across several workstreams, focusing on project documentation, Ministerial writing, reporting, research and stakeholder coordination.
The team works in a fast-paced environment with shifting demands, so they are looking for someone who can operate with a mix of initiative, accuracy and good judgement.

They want someone who understands development or construction terms, workflows and project language.
Candidates from IT, HR, grants or highly procedural policy environments were not suitable in the first round.
Key tasks for this role include:
Preparing Ministerial correspondence, briefing notes and formal written material
Maintaining and updating project documentation including PCG packs, risk registers, milestones and action logs
Supporting project reporting, analysis and evaluation
Coordinating information across multiple teams and stakeholders
Conducting research and identifying emerging issues that impact project delivery
Drafting and updating procedures to ensure clarity and compliance
Managing multiple requests, deadlines and competing priorities
Using systems including TRIM, MyWorkZone and similar project or records systems
About You
The team is seeking a Project Officer who ispractical, proactive and comfortable in an unstructured environment.
They want someone who will take responsibility for their work, act before being told, and solve problems without needing constant direction.
To succeed, you will bring:
Experience supporting projects in development, construction or the built environment
Strong writing ability, especially for Ministerials, briefing notes and project summaries
Experience maintaining key project documents and reporting artefacts
Strong communication skills to work across diverse business areas
High attention to detail, accuracy and follow-through
Ability to work with ambiguity and shift priorities quickly
Resourcefulness and initiative when information is incomplete
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
Ability to learn new digital systems quickly
Bonus:
Experience in Government project environments
Understanding of statutory and compliance requirements
Experience working with multidisciplinary technical teams
