Our conveyor expertise spans across mining, processing, ports, power generation, quarries, agriculture, manufacturing and industrial applications.**About the Role**Fenner Conveyors is looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join their Pulley Division. The role is workshop based and will be primarily focused on the assembly of pulley components and the fitment of pulley bearings; experience with the installation of lagging would also be an advantage. Your day will also involve strip and assessment of worn pulley assemblies as well as reporting and cost estimating reporting directly to the Senior Supervisor.This is a full-time, permanent position.**Job tasks and responsibilities**1. Assembly of Pulley Shafts, Shells and associated components.2. Mechanical fitting as required including strip and assessment.3. Liaise with Senior Supervisor to complete repair reports.4. General maintenance of workshop machinery.**Skills and experience**1. Have experience in a medium to heavy engineering workshop environment.2. Ideally, experience in fitting bearings with hydraulic nuts, locking elements, cylindrical roller bearings, drive couplings, lagging etc3. Ideally, hold a current Dogman and FLT licence.4. Be a qualified trades person with a minimum of 5 years relevant industry experience.5. Be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications6. Relevant experience in a similar role.7. General fitting skills for equipment rebuilding & maintenance.8. Creative mind that will be enthusiastic about working for an expanding business.9. Positive attitude.10.
