**Job Overview:**
This position is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. As a dedicated Psychologist, you will be working within a multidisciplinary team across various programs, providing both clinical care and health promotion activities.
The successful candidate will work closely with local First Nations Social and Emotional Health Workers, who will provide mentorship and guidance throughout their role.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Clinical Service Provision: This includes conducting clinic-based and home visits, performing health assessments, delivering prevention and education programs, and managing data administration.
**Selection Criteria:**
* A minimum of a tertiary degree (or equivalent qualification) in Psychology and current registration or eligibility for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHRPA).
* Experience in providing assessment, intervention, and case management in various settings.
* An understanding of the health issues impacting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and a strong commitment to improving health outcomes.
* Ability to work sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, demonstrating a genuine understanding of their cultural practices and values.
* Independence and ability to work with minimal supervision, as well as a willingness to travel and stay overnight in remote areas as required.
