About the Opportunity
As the Mental Health Administration Officer, you will be the first point of contact for patients, families, carers and visitors to the Mental Health Unit, Recovery Unit or Older Persons Mental Health Unit. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the mental health services, providing high-quality administrative support that contributes to safe, respectful and effective patient care.
As the Mental Health Administration Officer, you will be responsible for:
* Providing professional and compassionate customer service to consumers, staff and visitors, both face-to-face and over the phone
* Supporting the daily operations of the unit through a range of administrative tasks including admissions, transfers, discharges, record management and appointment bookings
* Maintaining strict confidentiality and compliance with privacy legislation and health records requirements
* Supporting security processes including visitor management, swipe card/key tracking and duress alarm checks
