We have successfully delivered a variety of private and public contracts, across a range of sectors including rail, highways, tunnelling, energy, water and can deliver a solution tailored to suit specific and challenging client requirements. An exciting opportunity currently exists for a Civil Engineering Technician to join our team. Due to continued business growth and an increase in awarded civil infrastructure and construction projects, the company is seeking an additional Civil Engineering Technician to support increasing operational and project delivery demands. The role has become necessary to assist with the growing volume of site inspections, quality assurance requirements, construction coordination, and technical support activities across multiple ongoing projects. Duties & Responsibilities : Reporting to the Managing Director, the civil engineering technician will support the delivery of civil infrastructure and construction projects across a range of sectors including roads, utilities, drainage, earthworks, and structural works. The successful candidate will assist engineers and project teams in the planning, coordination, inspection, and quality assurance of construction activities. Key Responsibilities : Interpret and work from engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents. Carry out site measurements, record project data, and update construction information in line with drawings, technical documents and project requirements. Check that site works are consistent with drawings, dimensions, technical requirements, and Australian Standards, and maintain relevant technical records. Monitor construction activities including earthworks, drainage, concrete, pavements, utilities, and roadworks. Prepare and maintain inspection test plans (ITPs), quality assurance documentation, site records, and progress reports. Coordinate materials testing and verify compliance with project specifications. Support survey set-out activities and confirm construction tolerances and levels. Liaise with clients, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to support project delivery. Assist with estimating quantities, procurement of materials, and scheduling of resources. Monitor daily productivity, labour, plant, and equipment usage on site. Assist with preparation of progress claims, variations, as-built documentation, and project close-out records. Identify and report construction issues, non-conformances, and recommend corrective actions.
