Description About the role As a Platform Lead within Payments & Cards you will play a pivotal role providing technical leadership and guidance in the design, development and integration of Payments & Cards platforms. This role will serve as the subject matter expert (SME) across card switching & management, payments incl. NPP, DE & Bpay, and fraud applications. This position holds the delegated responsibility and accountability for delivering exceptional banking services, products, and applications directly used by customers or employees. The Platform Lead will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of Payments & Cards solutions, aligning them with business objectives, ensuring reliability, scalability, and an outstanding user experience. Responsibilities Technical Leadership: Provide expert technical leadership and guidance to the Payments & Cards teams and integration projects, ensuring the successful execution of projects and initiatives related to Payments & Cards platforms. Integration & Development: Collaborate with architects and other stakeholders to oversee the design of scalable, reliable, and secure Payments & Cards solutions incl. card switching and management, payments incl. NPP, Direct Entry and Bpay, and fraud applications. Change Management: Lead and oversee changes into production, ensuring that development, design, testing, and verification adhere to strict ITIL standards and maintain strong Secure Stable & Resilient (SSR) standards, minimising impacts to customers and staff. Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product owners, delivery leads and analysts, ensuring effective collaboration and seamless integration of Payment & Cards platforms with other systems and applications. Technical Mentoring: Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering their technical growth and promoting knowledge sharing within the team. Technical Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design specifications, technical standards and guidelines Performance Optimisation: Identify performance bottlenecks and areas for improvement within member platforms, collaborating with the team to implement optimisation strategies. About you You have strong expertise in successful delivery and support of Payment & Cards platforms that are usable, stable, secure, compliant, and aligned to business objectives. You will achieve this by providing strong technical leadership and mentorship to the team, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring stakeholder satisfaction. Knowledge and Experience Essential Technical Acumen: Extensive financial services experience within Payments & Cards Expertise on one or more ACI payments products incl. UPF, Postillion, CMM and PRM Expertise with Payments – NPP (ISO20022), PayTo, Direct Entry & BPAY. Expertise in Cards & Token management, switch management (AS2805/8583 protocols), ATM’s, Visa, Eftpos & IPEX Experience with fraud management platforms Experience with solution design, software development and integration projects Familiarity with agile software development methodologies and tools such as Scrum and Jira Prior experience designing, delivering and/or maintaining complex technical solutions and the ability and experience of identifying and resolving complex technical issues Strong communication skills Desirable: Familiarity with Fiserv, Mulesoft, Openshift & Salesforce products Knowledge of AWS and Azure cloud platform services Strong networking knowledge and programming skills SQL management studio and building queries Familiarity with multiple delivery methodologies and the ability to adapt to the selected project methodology Qualifications and Memberships Bachelor’s degree in computer science or technology ACI product certification in either, Postillion, CMM, UPF or PRM Why you’ll love working with us: People First Bank – our new brand – says exactly what we’re all about: people.
