The Opportunity
Join the NDIA's Independent Advisory Council (IAC) Secretariat team, supporting the Council's work to bring the views of people with disability, carers, and sector experts to the heart of the NDIS. In this role you will be the secretariat lead for the IAC First Nations Reference Group, delivering high-quality governance and meeting support across complex and sensitive matters.

Key responsibilities include
* Build strong relationships with Council and reference group members.
* Coordinate, prepare and distribute meeting papers in line with terms of reference.
* Ensure papers are plain English and accessible for people with disability.
* Manage meeting logistics (including attendance and travel) and ensure cultural and disability support needs are met.
* Manage minutes and action logs; maintain complete meeting records.
* Support onboarding of new members; contribute to governance policies, procedures and guidance.
* Assist with the management of sitting fees.

To be successful in this role, you will need
Essential
* Identify as a First Nations person (Special Measures).
* Strong understanding of cultural and disability needs.
* Demonstrated stakeholder engagement and confidence working with senior/complex stakeholders.
Desirable
* Secretariat or governance experience (committees, boards, advisory groups).
Qualifications related to health, disability, accessibility, governance or communications.
