The Tamworth Region is seeking a motivated and passionate individual to drive the development and implementation of policies that promote Indigenous engagement and reconciliation.
About the Role
* Liaise with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities to build strong relationships and foster strategic partnerships.
* Collaborate with Council's Leadership Team to embed Aboriginal cultural awareness and knowledge throughout the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and drive Council's progress in achieving its Closing the Gap targets.
* Develop and implement initiatives that address employment, procurement, and cultural inclusion gaps.
* Develop and leverage relationships, partnerships, and networks between Council and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations, communities, and relevant government departments.
