An established food distribution business is seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead daily operations across a busy environment. This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing the safe, efficient and accurate handling of temperature-sensitive, perishable goods from receival through to dispatch.
You will play a critical role in maintaining product quality, meeting tight dispatch deadlines and leading a team in a fast-paced, food operation.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and support warehouse staff across picking, packing, receival and dispatch of products
* Oversee inbound goods, including quality checks, correct handling and storage of perishable items
* Ensure accurate order fulfilment while maintaining strict timeframes and freshness standards
* Manage inventory control, including FIFO rotation, stocktakes and waste control
* Maintain compliance with workplace health & safety, food safety and hygiene standards
* Coordinate daily workflow and labour allocation to meet operational demands
* Train and mentor staff on best-practice across the division
* Use warehouse systems and reports to monitor productivity, accuracy and performance
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience supervising teams in a warehouse, logistics or distribution environment
* Background in food distribution or FMCG highly regarded
* Strong understanding of stock rotation and quality assurance
* Confident, hands-on leadership style with excellent communication skills
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-moving, deadline-driven environment
* Experience using warehouse or inventory management systems
* Forklift licence and knowledge of safe manual handling practices preferred
What's On Offer
* Great starting salary - $75,000 - $80,000 plus superannuation
* Flexible start and finish times - for example a 1am or 3am start with a 9am or 11am finish (negotiable)
