Randstad is currently seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant (APS6) to join a high-performing federal government team.
Non-Ongoing | Canberra, ACT | 12 Months | Baseline Clearance
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of monthly internal and external reporting requirements.
- Manage accounting for non-financial assets, employee perks, and employee provisions.
- Manage the organisation's administration of tax obligations.
- Prepare monthly and annual financial accounting journals, work papers, and reconciliations.
- Assist the Assistant Director in preparing annual consolidated financial statements.
- Undertake other various finance duties commensurate with the skill and capability requirements at this level.
Skills & Capabilities:
- Strong technical skills, including a deep understanding of accounting principles and the ability to analyse complex financial data.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in preparing detailed financial reports.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with various stakeholders.
Position Requirements / Qualifications:
- Baseline Clearance.
- Undergo a pre-employment National Police Check.
