Overview
As the BMI Patient Services Assistant Supervisor (Transport), you will lead and support a team of medical imaging PSAs to deliver safe transport of patients to and from medical imaging at University Hospital Geelong. The role includes rostering coordination, leave management, and triaging transport demands to ensure safe work practices and patient safety.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and support daily team operations, including rostering, leave coverage, and staff guidance.
* Identify and coordinate training needs for new and existing team members, ensuring ongoing competency.
* Triage and prioritize patient transport requests to maintain safe and efficient workflow.
* Safely transport patients and equipment in line with organisational guidelines and patient safety standards.
* Maintain equipment cleanliness, manage courier tasks, and support stock replenishment while collaborating with the wider team.
What We're Looking For
* Demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience in a small to medium team.
* Relevant qualification (recognised PSA certificate or equivalent).
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively and flexibly within a multidisciplinary team, while also working independently.
* Patient‐focused approach with the ability to build rapport and complete required training (e.g., Smart Moves).
