Star Sparky is a large HVAC and Electrical wholesale, retail and service business located in Underwood, QLD.
We are currently looking to hire a new staff member for the role of Warehouse Administrator. In this role you will have several responsibilities ranging from loading vans to organising stock.
Average Day in the Role:
- Helping service vehicles load up for jobs in the morning, and unload after jobs in the afternoon.
- Using forklifts and pallet jacks to transport pallets of goods.
- Unloading trucks and shipping containers when they arrive with stock orders.
- Maintaining warehouse organization and stock.
- Assisting with sorting scrap and salvage.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Strong sense of accountability and meticulous work ethic.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with team members.
- Open to constructive feedback and coaching.
- Eager to learn and grow your skills and knowledge.
- Able to do regular lifting, including large and heavy boxes up to 25kg.
- Hold a valid Driver's License.
- Hold a valid Forklift License.
- Bilingual (Proficiency in Mandarin is a requirement for the role).
- Previous experience within a warehouse/logistics role (preferable but not required).
Hours: As a business we open from 7am to 5pm on Weekdays and 7am - 12pm on Saturdays. In this role you would work Monday through Friday, from 8:30am - 5pm. You will also have the option to work Saturdays, and be expected to occasionally you are able, which is a 7am - 12pm shift. (Paid Separately from main salary).
Salary & Benefits: This is a full-time permanent position with a starting salary of $65,000pa + Super + Annual & Sick Leave. Following the initial 3 month probationary period, the salary will increase to $70,000pa + Super + Annual & Sick Leave. You will also earn a monthly commission following probation.
