Timberlink Australia & New Zealand is a sustainableleading softwood timber products manufacturing and distribution business, employing over 600 people. Our world class manufacturing sites are located close to some of the best renewableplantation pine resources in the world - Bell Bay in Tasmania & Tarpeena in South Australia. Our fit-for-purpose indoor and outdoor plantation pine products are suitable for building new homes, renovation projects and other industrial manufacturing applications including packaging, pallets, and furniture components.

About the role

We are now commencing recruitment for a Manufacturing Team Leader to join our businesswith hours as per below:

Team Leader - Rotating day and afternoon shift: 5.30am - 3.30pm (day shift) and 4.20pm - 2.10am (afternoon shift) - 5 day a week roster working 4 shifts per week with a rotating day off.

This permanent, full-time positions are based at our Bell Bay manufacturing site in Tasmania (approx. 40 minutes from Launceston). With our business continually investing and growing, this is a perfect opportunity to combine your strong technical mindset with a leader in the timber manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities

* Ensuring site safety rules and Standard Operating Procedures are adhered to
* Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
* Meeting production targets according to the production plan
* Reporting safety incidents, near misses and quality issues
* Implementing standardized work processes to make high quality products that meet standards
* Reducing machine downtime, rework, and scrap
* Communicating safety and quality alerts to the production team
* Conducting daily toolbox meetings with the production team
* Keeping track of material level on the production floor

Qualifications and qualities you will bring to Timberlink

* Experience within a manufacturing or fast paced background - blue collar, industrial, hospitality etc.
* Proactive and positive leadership that results in an effective team
* Demonstrated interpersonal skills
* Able to perform under limited supervision
* Ability to prioritise and plan work for self and others
