OverviewNational Mobilisation Coordinator (NMC) is a National Leadership position (2IC) within Disaster Relief Australia (DRA).
The NMC provides coordinated support to the National Mobilisation Manager (NMM) and the Mobilisation Department, assisting in planning, coordinating, and implementing logistical processes related to DRA volunteer movements for National and DRT-led operations, as well as leadership travel.
The NMC may act on behalf of the NMM from time to time and works with the NMM, Field Operations, and DRT Managers to manage mobilisation logistics and provide training and support to DRT Coordinators and associates at the DRT level.ResponsibilitiesSupport the NMM in planning and executing DRA volunteer movements for National and DRT-led operations.Assist in maintaining mobilisation data, tracking personnel, and operational reporting as required.Assist NMM with operational travel logistics for volunteers and leadership business travel.Assist with designing and implementing DRA's mobilisation processes, including technological advancements.Identify, innovate, and implement improved methods of operational mobilisation.Provide direct support to the DRT Leadership Team during field operations and other activities as requested by the NMM.Ensure mobilisation activities, as outlined in SOPs and the Ops Responsibility Matrix, are met if tasked as an operational lead.Support the NMM in preparing statistical and operational reports.Attend internal and external meetings and represent DRA as a member of the National Leadership Team when required.Ensure fiscal responsibility in managing mobilisation travel requests for operational and business travel.Follow all DRA policies and guidelines, including the Code of Conduct, DRA Values, and Ethics.Provide back-of-house (BOH) support for projects and initiatives, as required.Key AttributesExperience in workforce management, volunteer management, team coordination, or leadership.Skills in mobilisation logistics, event coordination, coaching, and public relations.Strong organisational, planning, and project management skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, SharePoint) and similar platforms, including Muster.How To ApplyIf you're ready to use your skills and experience to make a real difference, we want to hear from you!
