About the Role
Mildura Base Public Hospital is seeking a Staff Specialist Cardiologist to join our expanding cardiology service. You will play a key role in delivering inpatient care, outpatient clinics, and outreach services across North-Western Victoria, Lower New South Wales (including Broken Hill), and into South Australia (Renmark and surrounds).
This is an exciting opportunity to shape a growing service and contribute to high-quality, patient-centred care in a collaborative regional health environment.
Responsibilities
* Provide inpatient cardiology consultations and outpatient care.
* Deliver outreach cardiology clinics to surrounding regional health services.
* Conduct and interpret a range of cardiac investigations, supporting the growth of the Clinical Diagnostic Unit.
* Provide education, supervision, and support for junior medical staff and medical students.
* Actively contribute to service development and quality improvement.
Skills & Experience
* AHPRA Specialist Registration in Cardiology.
* Demonstrated experience in:
* Performing stress echocardiograms
* Performing transoesophageal echocardiograms (TOE)
* Reporting transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE)
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Commitment to teaching and mentoring.
* Credentialing to implant pacemaker devices would be advantageous.
