About The Role
We are looking for casual Hospitality Assistants for our residential home in Berri.
As a passionate and experienced Hospitality Assistant, you will work as a member of our large hospitality team.
Catering
You will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of catering, presenting, handling, preparing and storing food, in addition to associated cleaning tasks.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with the catering service to meet resident's food requirements, including food preparation, storage, hygiene, distribution and serving meals.
* Follow written protocols for special dietary requests.
* Assist with the preparation of the dining rooms.
* Work with the food safety plan and legislative guidelines.
* Maintain a high standard of cleaning in residents' rooms and all general areas.
* Adhere to infection control, manual handling and WHS procedures.
* Maintain efficient and open communication.
What you bring
* Experience in basic food preparation (preferred but not essential)
* Experience in micro-fibre cleaning (preferred but not essential)
* Excellent customer service approach, friendly and bubbly personality
* Effective time management skills and experience in a fast paced environment
* Basic understanding of the requirements to support residents living with dementia, including those who display challenging behaviours, and basic knowledge of the Aged Care standards (highly regarded)
* A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
