About the Role: As a Mechanical Fitter, you'll play a critical role in fabricating, assembling, and maintaining precision-engineered machinery. From shaping metal stock to diagnosing faults and erecting equipment on-site, you'll be hands-on in ensuring mechanical excellence. Responsibilities: Interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine materials, sequences, and machine settings for installation works associated with solar tracking systems Fit and assemble metal parts into machinery and subassemblies. Perform mechanical alignment, adjustment, and verification of installed components. Set guides, controls, tools, and dies on machining tools and presses. Operate tools and machines to cut, grind, drill, bore, and shape metal. Install and test hydraulic and pneumatic piping systems. Maintain textile machinery and pattern mechanisms as required. Perform operational maintenance, overhauls, and mechanical repairs. Erect machinery and equipment on-site. Ensure work is completed in line with quality requirements and project standards. Skills and Experience: AQF Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade (or equivalent). Minimum 4 years of industry experience in mechanical fitting. Strong knowledge of machining operations, metal forming, and assembly. Ability to read and interpret technical documentation. Attention to detail with a proactive, safety-first mindset. Solid troubleshooting skills and a methodical approach to fault diagnosis. Experience in working with a wider team to ensure activities are on schedule What's On Offer: Full-time employment with a competitive salary between $90,000 and $100,000 plus superannuation.
