Job Description
This is a national role and can be based in any of the SAE University College locations. SAE is seeking a proactive and student‐focused Careers Advisor to support the career development and employability outcomes of students and new graduates across its six Australian campuses. In this role, you'll provide one‐on‐one career consultations, respond to student enquiries, and assist in delivering workshops and employer presentations. You'll report to the Manager, WIL, and work closely with Industry Liaison Coordinators and other internal teams, playing a key role in enhancing student engagement through early employability skills development, WIL preparedness, and targeted career support for diverse cohorts. You'll also identify and promote work and volunteering opportunities, support new graduates in their job search, and foster meaningful connections with industry and alumni.
Responsibilities
Provide one‐on‐one career consultations, respond to student enquiries, assist in workshops and employer presentations, coordinate and deliver engaging workshops, manage administrative tasks, identify student needs across the career services portfolio, develop proposals and initiatives, and support new graduates in job search.
Qualifications
* Tertiary qualification in career education or equivalent knowledge gained through a combination of education, training, and/or experience.
* Demonstrated experience and genuine interest in mentoring and supporting students in their career development.
* Strong administrative and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
* Proven ability to identify needs across the career services portfolio and develop effective proposals and initiatives.
* Experience in coordinating, preparing, and delivering engaging workshops and presentations to student audiences and stakeholders.
