About the Role
The successful candidate will lead a team responsible for developing and managing efficient maintenance and operational programs, projects, and services. This includes assisting in flood emergency management according to National and State legislation, policies, guidelines, and directions.
This role requires delivering high-level asset operations management strategies that are sustainable and provide services that support natural and cultural heritage values.
You will also ensure all agreed projects are delivered on time and to expected standards and requirements given the number of projects that need to be delivered and their size and complexity. Additionally, you will work with suppliers and contractors to ensure works are delivered on time to the required standard of stakeholders, including landholders and explaining project intent and limits.
The key accountabilities include:
- Leading the delivery of annual maintenance programs, including risk assessing and prioritizing asset defects, identifying solutions, monitoring, and auditing planned and reactive works.
- Implementing and reviewing operational contracts, including consultation, negotiation, documentation, execution, and performance management for the Hunter Valley Flood Mitigation Scheme in accordance with NSW procurement guidelines.
Key Knowledge & Experience
- Demonstrated experience in asset management and operations implementation.
- Sound knowledge of floodplain risk assessment methods and floodplain management strategies.
Essential Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications or demonstrated equivalent, relevant professional experience in asset and project delivery and/or operational management in an infrastructure environment.
- Current Australian Driver’s license.
