Senior Project Manager – Life Sciences / Pharmaceutical Projects- Up to $200k base + super

About the Role
* We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of a large-scale pharmaceutical and life sciences development in Sydney. This is a high-profile project involving complex stakeholder management, strict regulatory environments, and technically sophisticated facilities including laboratories, cleanrooms, and GMP manufacturing environments.
* Working on the client side, you will be responsible for managing the project from early planning and design through procurement, construction, commissioning and handover, ensuring delivery aligns with programme, budget, and quality expectations. This role offers the opportunity to work on a landmark life sciences project that will contribute to the growth of Australia's advanced manufacturing and pharmaceutical sector.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the end-to-end delivery of a major pharmaceutical or life sciences facility.
* Manage project outcomes across programme, cost, quality and risk.
* Coordinate multidisciplinary consultant teams including architects, engineers, planners and specialist laboratory consultants.
* Work closely with contractors and subcontractors to ensure successful construction delivery.
* Oversee procurement strategies and manage tender processes.
* Ensure compliance with GMP standards, regulatory requirements and technical specifications associated with pharmaceutical environments.
* Prepare and present project reporting, governance updates and strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders.
* Proactively manage project risks, issues and change management processes.
* Foster strong relationships with clients, end users and regulatory authorities.
Skills & Experience
* 10+ years' experience delivering complex construction or development projects.
* Demonstrated experience delivering pharmaceutical, life sciences, laboratory, or highly technical facilities.
* Background in client-side project management consultancy, developer or contractor environments.
* Strong understanding of regulated environments such as GMP, cleanrooms, laboratories or advanced manufacturing.
* Proven experience managing projects through design, construction, commissioning and handover.
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or a related discipline.
* Experience delivering pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities, biotech laboratories or research facilities.
* Familiarity with validation, commissioning and regulatory approvals for life sciences projects.
* Professional membership such as AIPM, RICS or equivalent.
