Team Leader - Wastewater Headworks

Location: Tamworth, NSW

THE OPPORTUNITY

* Lead and coordinate the safe and compliant operation of Council's wastewater facilities
* Identify and analyse areas for improvement, make recommendations & resolve issues
* Develop and mentor a skilled operational team

Council is seeking an enthusiastic individual with significant experience to provide support for all water and wastewater headworks operations.

The Team Leader - Wastewater Headworks is responsible for:

* Supervision of the day to day operation and maintenance of Council's water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, rising mains and associated control systems.
* Lead and coordinate a multidisciplinary operational team, including work planning, task allocation and on-site supervision.
* Ensure compliance with environment, workplace health and safety and organisational requirements
* Provide training, instruction and technical guidance to staff on the safe and effective use of plant and equipment
* Liaise with stakeholders regarding operational performance, incidents and improvement opportunities
* Identify operational issues and implement corrective actions to optimise plant performance

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED

* Certificate IV in Water Industry Operations
* WHS General Induction Certificate for Construction Work
* Current Drivers Licence
* Immunisations (or willingness to undergo) Q-Fever, Hepatitis A&B, Tetanus

Salary range: Grade 13 - $85,073 - $92,064 per annum plus 12% superannuation for a 38 hour work week. Salary may be negotiated based on skills, experience and your value to our organisation.

Flexible working arrangements will be considered by mutual agreement and according to operational requirements.
