Murrumba State Secondary College opened its doors in January 2012, welcoming its first cohort of Year 7 and 8 students.
Located in the growing and vibrant area of Murrumba Downs, the College features first class learning facilities and surrounds.
Murrumba State Secondary College is proud to be the first state school in Queensland to welcome Year 7 students into a secondary setting. Our students study the Australian Curriculum, which is taught by our supportive and highly-skilled teaching staff.
**Your role**:
**Responsibilities include (but not limited to)**:
- Cleaning windows, pictures, doorknobs, taps, sinks, drinking fountains, lavatory basins, glassware, glass doors and cupboards.
- Cleaning and sanitising toilet facilities and sick bays.
- Cleaning and maintaining equipment.
- Cobweb and mildew control, utilising extendable equipment as necessary.
- Cleaning of concrete, bitumen, asphalt and paved surfaces.
- Disposal of rubbish and litter control including removal of material from drains and gutters between and/or surrounding buildings.
- Dusting including student and office furniture, equipment and fans.
- Hosing.
- Removal of graffiti.
- Sweeping and vacuuming.
- Vinyl/timber floor maintenance including buffing, stripping and polishing.
- Other appropriate cleaning duties as directed by the Principal/Business Manager.
One position will be for 11 hours per week and the other three positions are for 6 hours per week.
- Position 1 - 5.5 hours per day each Thursday and Friday (5.00am-8.00am and 3.30pm-6.00pm)
- Position 2 - 3 hours per day each Thursday and Friday (3.00pm-6.00pm)
- Position 3 - 3 hours per day each Thursday and Friday (3.00pm-6.00pm)
- Position 4 - 3 hours per day each Thursday and Friday (3.00pm-6.00pm)
Please note that these rosters are not negotiable as they align to a whole site cleaning plan. Please refer to the attached document for further information including duties.
**Mandatory requirements**:
- When working in regulated employment an employee must have a current Working with Children Clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services.
