Role Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Systems Engineering to join our dynamic CSI-IPT team. This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to the cutting-edge DDG (Destroyer) program, working on critical national defence projects. Our comprehensive program will provide a robust foundation in Systems Engineering through diverse teams, fostering growth into a skilled and capable engineer.
This role offers a unique chance to gain invaluable insights and practical experience from a collaborative and highly credible team of experienced engineers and technical specialists. You will be instrumental in supporting the delivery of complex engineering solutions for the DDG program.
Core Duties
Contributing to engineering activities as directed by their team leader in accordance with the relevant project procedures and work instructions to achieve project technical, schedule and cost goalsAssisting in the development, analysis, and refinement of system requirementsSupporting the design, integration, and testing of complex combat systemsParticipating in technical reviews, workshops, and stakeholder engagementsDocumenting engineering processes, designs, and test resultsCollaborating with various engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration and functionalityIdentifying and escalating potential technical risks and issuesAdhering to all safety, security, and quality standards and procedures
Essential Skills
A University degree level engineering qualification preferably within a Systems, Electronics, Software or Mechatronics disciplineDemonstrated systems engineering experience coupled with engineering experience in a relevant disciplineINCOSE CSEP certified (desired)Experience in effective use of Engineering Process, Methods, Tools and InfrastructureProven ability to function confidently within a project team environment with demonstrated problem solving skillsExcellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment or autonomouslyAbility to partner with and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to obtain the necessary deliverablesDefence security clearance or eligibility to obtainEligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulations
