About the Opportunity
Danny Met Sally has exciting news - we will soon be opening a brand new SIL home in Tweed Heads, and we're looking for a team of passionate Disability Support Workers who truly value quality, individualised support.
We’re looking for staff with the right values to enrich the lives of our Supported Independent Living (SIL) residents and Community Access components. We need committed staff who have availability across shifts from 12pm-5pm and a willingness for sleepover shifts from 2pm-6am.
This is a great opportunity for Support Workers who are looking for a rewarding role with great hours and a more stable, consistent flow of work.
Due to the participant's background, only Male Support Workers are required for this position. This is recognised as a genuine discrimination exemption and occupation qualification and is authorised under (Part 3, Division 2, Section 31 (1), (2) (a-i), (3) & (4) of the NEW SOUTH WALES Anti-Discrimination Act 1977).
About You
To set the benchmark standard of services, we seek likeminded support workers that uphold and represent our core values: Integrity, Empathy, Creative, Inspire, Mindfulness & Bold.
In addition to our values, our support staff require mandatory compliance:
* 12+ months experience as a Disability Support Worker highly desirable but not essential.
* Experience with behaviour management is highly desirable but not essential.
* Experience with restrictive practices.
* Relevant qualification (minimum Certificate III in Disability or related industry OR willingness to enrol prior to commencement.
* Driver’s Licence & Car with Comprehensive Insurance.
* NDIS Worker Screening Check.
* Current First Aid & CPR Certificate.
* Manual Handling Certificate or willing to obtain (we can provide training)
* Medication Administration Certificate or willing to obtain (we can provide training)
* Flexible availability & commitment to an ongoing roster of support.
