McMahon Services is seeking an experienced Regional WHSEQ Advisor to join our Building & Construction team, supporting projects across Port Pirie, Whyalla and the Eyre Peninsula.

This is a hands-on, operational role where you'll work across multiple active sites, partnering closely with project teams to embed strong WHSEQ practices and foster a proactive safety culture. You'll have autonomy in your region, while being supported by an experienced and collaborative WHSEQ team.

About the Role

Reporting functionally to the WHSEQ Manager – Building & Construction, and working closely with Project Teams across the region, you will provide expert WHSEQ support across multiple building and construction projects.

Your core purpose is to support operational teams to implement McMahon Services' WHSEQ systems consistently across the region, ensuring safe, compliant and high-performing project outcomes.

What You'll Do

* Lead implementation of the Safety Program and SIFER tools across regional projects
* Mentor, coach and support multiple operational teams on WHSEQ matters
* Conduct site inspections, safety observations and risk assessments across the region
* Support development and maintenance of WHSEQ Management Plans and Project Risk Registers
* Participate in site meetings and engage directly with the workforce
* Manage incident investigations and ensure lessons learned are communicated effectively
* Assist with SWMS, JSEA development and subcontractor onboarding
* Liaise with unions, regulators and external stakeholders as required
* Contribute to WHSEQ communications, audits and continuous improvement initiatives

What You'll Bring

* Minimum 3 years' experience in a WHSEQ role
* Minimum 5 years' experience in the building and construction industry
* Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety
* Construction Industry White Card
* Current driver's licence and First Aid qualification
* Ability to obtain ADF DCAC and Police Check
* Strong understanding of WHSEQ principles and construction methodologies
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Strong organisational skills and ability to work autonomously across multiple sites
