Overview
This role oversees the day-to-day coordination and end-to-end delivery of all External Audits, including accountability for the GS007 program.
It plays a key part in raising the team's profile, building strong stakeholder relationships, and contributing to a robust external audit framework. The role will also provide insights and recommendations to strengthen internal controls and support business objectives.
As part of the Risk, Compliance, Controls & Assurance team, this role works closely with the Manager, First Line Risk Management and Senior Manager, Risk & Governance, with guidance from the Head of Risk, to help drive down risk and enhance governance across RSS.
* Hybrid/flexible working conditions- 60% in the office per fortnight

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
Strategic Focus
Partner with the Head of Risk, Compliance, Controls & Assurance to shape and advance the governance framework for External Audits, including GS007.
Collaborate across Risk teams to embed a 'Risk as a mindset' culture.
Operational Management
* Lead coordination of all External Audit activities across RSS, including GS007 and CSA testing.
* Track and report on control activities, audit insights, and recommendations for continuous improvement.
* Manage client-specific audits such as the AustralianSuper SLA, Data Integrity Attestations, and others.
* Prepare clear, timely audit reports and support audit follow-up processes.
* Maintain strong stakeholder relationships, ensuring audit scopes and management actions are agreed and resolved.
* Deliver timely, high-quality services, and provide regular strategic reporting to senior leadership.
People Leadership
* Develop team capability and ensure adherence to audit principles.
* Communicate clearly to align team efforts with business goals and adapt as needed.
* Lead a high-performing team with the right tools, training, and oversight.
Governance & Risk
* Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
* Work closely with the Manager, First Line Risk Governance, and Senior Manager, Risk & Governance.
* Support Link Group's assurance programs to strengthen risk and compliance practices.
Experience & Personal Attributes
* Strong GRC knowledge with experience managing multiple audits, including GS007 and CSA.
* Established relationships with leading audit firms (e.g., PwC, KPMG, Deloitte).
* Deep understanding of superannuation legislation and risk principles.
* Skilled in analysing complex processes and recommending control improvements.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Strong grasp of internal control frameworks and how they support business outcomes.
