This is an exciting opportunity for a junior solicitor or graduate to join our friendly and award-winning team.
You will work in all areas of Wills & Estates including:
* advising clients in relation to their estate planning and drafting Wills, enduring powers of attorney and appointments of enduring guardian;
* estate litigation in the Equity Division of the Supreme Court of NSW including legal research, drafting observations to Counsel, writing legal correspondence, interviewing witnesses and drafting affidavits; and
* advising executors/administrators and beneficiaries on the administration of deceased estates.
You will be mentored by our Director (who is an Accredited Specialist in Wills & Estates), our Senior Associate and other friendly solicitors in our firm. You will also be supported by our Practice Manager and Client Services Officer.
Selection criteria
Our ideal candidate will already be admitted to practice law in NSW (or be in the process of completing their practical legal training) and possess:
* a strong academic background (High Distinction or Distinction average)
* strong research, analytical and drafting skills
* an enthusiastic and optimistic demeanour
* a keen interest to learn
* excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients
* attention to detail and strong organisational skills
