Salary: $117,905 - $139,307 (ALEVB)

About the Opportunity
The School of Science has a strong track record of excellence in teaching and research in the Computing and Security/Science and Mathematics disciplines. Within the Computing and Security discipline, our activities focus on Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology and Security Science, offering a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses and active research programs in Cyber Security and AI/Machine Learning.
This role sits with ECU's Cyber Security Powerhouse and is part of the largest Cyber Security research and teaching programme in Australia, supported by the Centre for Securing Digital Futures (CSDF).
Research that Shapes the Future
Our courses are powered by an active research programme aligned with the CSDF, which focuses on:
* Securing critical infrastructure
* Harnessing emerging technologies
* Understanding the human factors of security
Responsibilities
* Support the cyber security education portfolio, including teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
* Conduct research aligned with at least one CSDF priority area.
* Engage in teaching and learning responsibilities as part of a post‐PhD academic career.
* Contribute to the University's teaching excellence and student experience initiatives.
Applicants Should Have
* Strong technical cyber security expertise in areas such as network security, ethical hacking, cloud security, identity management, SOC/SIEM operations.
* Research interests aligned with at least one CSDF priority area.
* At least two years of post‐PhD academic experience, including teaching and learning responsibilities.
* A proven research track record appropriate for the level of appointment.
* Demonstrable research trajectory suitable for Future Fellowship applications.
