Role Overview
The Group Executive Operations (GEO) ensures TasPorts delivers safe, reliable, efficient and integrated operational services across marine, landside, aviation, property and logistics activities. The role is responsible for the delivery of high-quality operational performance and for executing TasPorts' systems, standards and strategic direction through disciplined planning, strong leadership and cross-functional coordination.
The position ensures TasPorts' assets, facilities and operational environments are utilised safely and effectively, delivering commercial value and excellent customer outcomes. This role requires a leader who can bring clarity, influence and connection across complex operational environments and who can integrate marine, landside and aviation operations into a cohesive enterprise system. The role provides executive leadership across approximately 200 personnel and is a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, contributing to enterprise planning, culture, and achievement of the Annual Operating Plan.
Responsibilities
Ensure operational performance, safety leadership, risk management, strategic infrastructure development, financial management, and asset management across marine, landside, aviation and logistics activities.
Leverage stakeholder management and commercial negotiation to deliver value.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives across landside and marine operations.
Qualifications
You will have a proven track record in leading large diverse operational portfolios in high-risk, asset-intensive environments. You bring operational and business management including safety leadership, risk management, strategic infrastructure development, financial management, and asset management. You will have developed executive leadership and experience in managing a geographically diverse and multi-functional teams, with a focus on performance and safety, with demonstrated experience in stakeholder management and commercial negotiation. Experience in continuous improvement across landside operations, marine operations or logistics will be advantageous. Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or similar are required.
