o As per the SMOEA 2025, the total term of employment with SA Health will be 3 years. Rotations following the initial 12 month will be determined in line with your training and SA Health's requirements. This may include transfer to other SA Health locations to perform work appropriate to classification, skills and capabilities.

About the role
This role will provide trauma care to paediatric patients under consultant supervision across ED, wards, and clinics. Furthermore you will be supporting audit, governance, and education activities, participate in after-hours rosters and research, and contribute to multidisciplinary trauma management and continuous improvement.
Key duties of the role
* Provide inpatient care for trauma patients as part of the Trauma Team under consultant supervision.
* Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and patient records.
* Participate in surgical ward cover and overnight on-call rosters.
* Engage in education and training activities, supporting ongoing professional development.
* Contribute to research activities within the unit, supporting evidence-based practice and service improvement.
Skills and Experience
* Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent
* Registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with General Registration
* Clinical experience in acute surgical care, including trauma
* Skill in problem solving and decision making at an organisational and individual level.
* Ability to communicate effectively and relate to a wide range of people
