About the position:
As a Mechanic/Diesel Fitter with Council, you will work as partof a dedicated team and be responsible for the servicing,maintenance, and repair of Council's Fleet Assets, includingEarthmoving and Civil Construction Plant, Trucks and Trailers,Light vehicles, and Small Plant.
You will have the opportunity to work with a modern fleet, on avariety of asset types, makes and models – no day will be thesame.
1. This is permanent full-time positions based at Charlton, Pittsworth, and Crows Nest.
2. The base starting salary for this position is $1442.38 gross per week, plus allowances, plus 17.5% annual leave loading and 12.65% superannuation.

About the Fleet & Logistics MaintenanceTeam:
The Fleet Workshop is a modern workshop facility that servicesand maintains Council assets ranging from small plant through tolarge earthmoving machinery.
The Fleet Maintenance team ensure that our internal customersand external stakeholders receive excellent customer service toensure Council assets maintain their operational requirements withlimited interruption to the service they provide.
The Fleet Maintenance Management section oversees the servicingand repair of all fleet assets in workshops located at PrincipalDepot, Greenmount, Pittsworth, Millmerran, Goombungee and CrowsNest as well as mobile service and repair units working from theseworkshops. Maintenance Management also coordinate and delivermetal fabrication services across the region.
