The Manager Data Analytics & Reporting Services is a lead role within the organization ITS and is accountable for ensuring all data & analytics products and services provide the level of expected availability, service, and support for the organisation.
The Data & Analytics Platform is an ITS team that is responsible for technology systems and products that provide data & analytics capabilities and services across the organisation. These services may include report creation, data mining and data extracts.
The Manager Data Analytics & Reporting Services will drive the strategic direction of the Data & Analytics Platform, manage, and support the delivery of the platform, and act as a point of escalation within vendor management for this platform.
The role may be required to support out-of-hours emergencies, as it is accountable for the delivery, maintenance, and ongoing functioning of the Data & Analytics platform.
**Key Accountabilities**
**Create and drive strategic direction across the Data & Analytics Platform**:
- Develop and implement a strategy for the management of the platform, including defining the strategic direction for report creation, data mining and data extracting activities
- Ensure that activities are aligned with planned information technology upgrades, as well as identification and replacements of end-of-life systems
- Lead the development and implementation of strategies for quality assurance and continuous improvement in the execution of IT operations processes and initiatives
- Providing specialist leadership in the data & analytics platform
**Provide specialist advice to business stakeholders, vendors and the team, and act as a point of escalation for issues**:
- Providing authoritative, high quality, accurate and timely advice in relation to all aspects of the organisation's data & analytics capability
- Act as an escalation point to ensure that best practice documentation is maintained, and data & analytics delivery issues are resolved through close collaboration with business stakeholders, ITS stakeholders and data & analytics platform team members
- Managing key vendor relationships for vendors that support the data & analytics platform
- Collaborating with business and technology leadership to define the data and analytical strategy, requirements, and roadmap
- Taking ownership of the analytical, data engineering delivery and reporting
- Work with our managed service providers and suppliers to drive data and reporting requirements for our business,
- Being responsible for prioritising, resourcing and delivery of key analytical reporting tools and infrastructure
- Establishment of data architecture, storage, and reporting library practices
- Defining the frameworks, processes, and controls to manage and govern the development of scalable, reusable, automated and assured enterprise data assets
**Enable business performance by supporting continuous improvement, collaboration, and innovation**:
- Identifying improvement opportunities and enabling continuous improvement related to data & analytics by continuously reviewing available data & analytics capabilities against business needs and existing services
- Driving and enable the development and embedding of data analytics across the organisation, including capabilities report creation, data mining and data extracts
- Proactively collaborating across the organisation to identify user needs and working to identify solutions to bridge identified gaps
- Developing innovative solutions to enable employee collaboration, productivity, and experiences across the business for both office and field workers
- Regularly reporting on platform performance and how this relates to business performance as a whole
