We are seeking a seasoned Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Data Centre team.
About the Role
The successful candidate will perform various quantity surveying functions including estimating, planning and cost management, cost monitoring, and accurate and timely financial reporting while exercising sound financial acumen with a key focus on proactively maximising value for clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Liaise with clients, architects and main contractors
* Identify and facilitate new business opportunities
* Master-plan and feasibility budgets
* Cost checking of developing design
* Value engineering
* Tender evaluations and analysis
* Contract negotiations
* Cash flow projects
* Procurement
* Cost reporting
* Final account reporting
* Claims preparation, presentation, negotiation and settlement of claims
* Investment analysis
* Formulating and implementing benchmarking processes to improve the consistency, accuracy and time to prepare cost models and plans
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* A relevant tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or Construction
* Extensive experience in cost estimating and planning software/Cost X
* A demonstrated track record of winning and managing major projects
* Experience managing mission-critical projects or similar projects of complex design
