We are looking for a qualified Arborist to shape Wodonga's streetscapes and parks by caring for the city's trees. From planting and pruning to operating specialised equipment, you'll play a key part in keeping our urban environment safe, healthy and beautiful for the whole community.
* Tree care and maintenance
Carry out planting, pruning, removals, watering and pest/weed control with a strong focus on tree health and safety. We're seeking someone with a genuine passion for arboriculture who takes pride in improving Wodonga's urban environment.
* Specialised plant and equipment operation
Confidently operate and maintain chainsaws, chippers, stump grinders, EWPs and other machinery. The ideal applicant is safety-conscious, mechanically minded, and enjoys working with tools and equipment every day.
* Safety and compliance leadership
Apply safe work practices, traffic management plans and OHS procedures to protect yourself, your team and the community. We're looking for someone who naturally notices hazards, speaks up, and helps build a strong safety culture.
* Teamwork and community connection
Work closely with Outdoor Operations teams to support a wide variety of city projects. The right candidate values teamwork, communicates well, and enjoys engaging respectfully with community members when explaining works on site.

Key Selection Criteria:
Our ideal candidate will be able to show us the following:
1. Completion of Certificate III in Arboriculture or equivalent
2. Experience in tree identification and the ability to assess tree health and risk
3. Basic knowledge of and experience in the use of a variety of IT systems
4. The ability to work unsupervised as well as collaboratively within a team
5. An understanding of the importance of a safe work environment, and various OHS principles
6. To provide good customer service and ensure the quality of work outputs.

Prior to commencement, the successful applicant will be required to provide the following.
