This position offers both clinical leadership and a meaningful role supporting a skilled team shaping primary healthcare in Central Australia.
Clinical Services Section working closely with and under the direction of the Medical Director.
The Deputy Medical Director will split their commitment to working in Clinic as a Senior GP providing comprehensive primary health care to clients, supervision to GPRs and providing leadership to all remote Clinic Managers across all remote clinics along with a commitment (50% of hours worked) to working in the Clinical Leadership team.
Clinical leadership is required to ensure all remote clinics deliver high-quality comprehensive and culturally safe care to our clients.
Responsibilities
• Providing exceptional clinical leadership for the central Australian region.
• Working in the clinic as a senior general practitioner, providing comprehensive primary healthcare services to clients.
• Supervising junior doctors and providing guidance to remote clinic managers.
• Collaborating with the medical director to achieve strategic goals and objectives.
• Ensuring high-quality, culturally safe care is delivered to clients across all remote clinics.
• Fostering a positive and productive work environment that supports teamwork and collaboration.
Requirements
• AFRAC Registration required.
• Significant experience in clinical leadership roles.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
