About the role
As the Counter Sales Consultant you will assist customers with selections and purchases in our showroom, working in a new Astley's building. You will recommend and assist with sales, establish and maintain relationships with customers and clients, and communicate with customers in person, by phone and email to understand their needs.
Responsibilities
* Ensure the showroom is kept to a high standard of cleanliness.
* Ensure pricing structures are supported and checked in accordance with policy and procedures. Quote to a pre‐determined value and communicate to the leadership team and procurement team.
* Ensure all stock is processed in a timely manner.
* Follow up and report on supplier stock delays.
* Use reports to manage stock, removed stock and old stock to meet company expectations.
* Provide good communication to leadership in a timely manner.
* Be customer centric.
* Be safety focused.
* Be proactive in additional sales at the time of sale.
* Place orders, and ensure shelves are full, clean and tidy every day.
* Actively contribute to the wider team.
Knowledge & Experience
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong customer service focus.
* Previous experience in a similar role in hardware retail is desirable.
* Current driver's license.
