Overview
Nu-Pure is seeking a Quality Engineer to support product and packaging development, maintain compliance, and drive continuous improvement across our operations.
This role is ideally based at our Head Office in Stapylton, QLD. However, we are open to candidates located at our interstate manufacturing sites.
Reporting to the Supplier Quality Manager, you'll work closely with Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing and NPD teams across Australia.
What you'll be responsible for
Quality, Product & Packaging
* Develop, document and maintain product and packaging specifications and SOPs
* Support product and packaging trials, including defining success criteria and outcomes
* Review artwork and ingredients for regulatory and product compliance
* Provide technical support for raw material monitoring and testing programs
* Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with quality and performance standards
* Lead and support root cause analysis and resolution of quality issues
Systems & Continuous Improvement
* Design, implement and continuously improve quality systems and processes
* Support the delivery of Nu-Pure's Product & Packaging Development pipeline
* Lead and support change management initiatives across manufacturing operations
Leadership & Collaboration
* Lead cross-functional teams through quality and process improvement initiatives
* Coach and support the Engineering and Manufacturing teams in quality best practices
* Build strong relationships across nationally distributed teams
Food Safety & Safety Compliance
* Ensure adherence to HACCP, GMP and food safety requirements
* Actively support internal and external quality audits
* Promote a strong workplace health and safety culture
What you'll bring
Experience & background
* Experience in engineering, packaging development or food science
* Experience in food or beverage manufacturing environments (highly regarded)
* Proven delivery of projects or improvement initiatives in complex operations
Technical capability
* Strong understanding of quality management and product development systems
* Knowledge of processing, packaging materials and packaging technologies
* Understanding of CQV (Commissioning, Qualification, Verification) processes
* Knowledge of Australian Food Standards and regulatory frameworks (desirable)
* Experience with GFSI standards and continuous improvement methodologies (desirable)
