Lead the delivery of legal grants that strengthen access to justice in the Northern Territory
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced professional to lead the management and delivery of Legal Services Grants across the Northern Territory. As the Legal Services Grants Manager, you will provide strategic oversight, policy development and operational leadership to ensure programs are delivered effectively, transparently and in line with government objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the administration of Legal Services Grants programs, ensuring compliance, accountability and alignment with program outcomes.
- Assess and analyse grant recipients’ performance against key indicators and funding agreements.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders, including grant recipients and justice sector partners.
- Provide high-quality advice, reports and correspondence to support executive and ministerial decision making.
- Manage budgets, planning and allocation processes to ensure efficient use of public funds.
- Develop and implement policy, procedures and systems that strengthen governance and program delivery.
About you
You are a motivated and strategic professional who can balance big-picture thinking with hands‑on delivery. You bring sound experience in grants management, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.

- Proven experience in grants management, program delivery and financial governance.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise competing deadlines and provide informed, strategic advice.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, collaboration and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to prepare clear reports and correspondence.
- Experience developing and implementing operational policy, processes and systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related business software.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of Commonwealth and Northern Territory Government grant funding programs.
