Job Opportunity
This is a position for a Youth Support Worker to work with clients who experience challenging behaviors.
The candidate will be part of a team that focuses on trauma-informed care and trauma recovery.
* Develop individualized plans for clients in Out of Home Care (OOHC) and National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) programs.
* Provide support and assistance to clients in various locations, including homes, schools, hospitals, community centers, and emergency accommodation.
The successful candidate will work within a strength-based, non-punitive, therapeutic model of care to provide safety and identify growth needs for clients.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will have:
* Qualification in Community Services (Cert IV) or relevant experience.
* Strong interest in youth work, mental health, and the disability industry.
* Understanding of strength-based trauma-informed practice framework.
* Ability and willingness to work shift work, regular sleepovers/active nights, weekends, and public/school holidays.
