About the Role
A well established, family owned civil construction, concrete, and quarrying company based in the Northern Territory is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to support the delivery of a range of infrastructure projects across the region.
This role involves working on a diverse portfolio including government, council, and defence-related works such as roads, highways, and buildings. It offers a unique opportunity for someone looking to step into a challenging but rewarding position with a long-standing business that values quality and commitment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage quality control documentation and registers to ensure compliance with project specifications
Develop and maintain project construction programs, reflecting current progress
Procure materials and manage supply requirements throughout project delivery
Identify and submit contractual variations where required
Support project teams with resource planning and coordination
Interpret and communicate technical drawings and specifications
Oversee subcontractor scopes of work, ensuring compliance and quality
Maintain proactive communication with project teams and client representatives
Participate in client meetings and provide regular project updates
Assist with quantity/volume analysis and contribute to tender processes
Selection Criteria
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
Minimum 3 years of experience in the civil construction industry
Strong knowledge of engineering and quality management across diverse project scopes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong planning and organisational skills, with a focus on process improvement
Proficiency with survey equipment and interpretation of survey data
Competent in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and relevant 3D/survey software
