The Role
This role is all about bringing partnerships to life — and shaping how we do it. Reporting to the Manager – Events & Engagement, you'll coordinate the day-to-day delivery and activation of a broad and meaningful partnership portfolio, while also helping define how partnership activation evolves over time.
Your work will span:
* Coordinating and activating corporate, community, commemorative, Defence related and program-based partnerships
* Supporting partnership activations through marketing, engagement and event initiatives
* Working closely with the Head of Marketing & Engagement on activation, communications and reporting requirements
* Proactively identifying new partnership opportunities through research, internal discovery, sector monitoring and alignment assessments
* Engaging with internal teams to understand existing partnership activity and ensure coordination rather than duplication
* Preparing partnership concepts, briefs and proposals
* Managing partnership records, deliverables, activation plans and timelines
* Supporting ongoing partner relationship management through meetings, communications and briefing materials
* Preparing partnership reports and post activation reviews
* Ensuring all partnership activity reflects organisational values, accessibility requirements and governance frameworks
This is a hands-on role where you'll be at the heart of partnership activation — ensuring every collaboration is delivered professionally, strategically and with purpose.
What's required to succeed
You'll thrive here if you're someone who builds strong relationships easily, works collaboratively, and loves coordinating multiple partnership deliverables at once. You'll be part of a supportive Engagement & Events team that values creativity, innovation and genuine connection across the organisation.
We're looking for someone who brings:
* A relevant tertiary qualification in business, marketing, communications, events or similar, or equivalent experience
* At least 6+ years' experience in partnership coordination, sponsorship activation, stakeholder engagement or related roles
* Experience working with different partnership models (corporate sponsorships, community partnerships, program delivery partnerships, event activations)
* Experience supporting new partnership development (research, prospecting, proposal development)
* Strong organisational skills, accuracy, and the ability to manage competing priorities
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including preparing briefs and reports
* A proactive approach, someone who enjoys exploring ambiguity, creating clarity, and building structure where needed
* A collaborative mindset and strong emotional intelligence, ensuring partnership work complements, not competes with, the work of other teams
Embracing collaboration and innovation, we work as one to lead the change veterans need. We're not afraid to go the extra mile or seek better ways of doing things. We look out for each other; we value all voices and respect perspectives that may differ from our own; and everything we do, we do with heart.
If this is an opportunity that excites you, please apply today. We'll close applications when we find the right person.
