Key Role in Rail Maintenance
* Maintain and repair locomotives, rail cars, wagons, plant, and infrastructure to ensure they meet safety and reliability standards.
About the Job
You will play a crucial role in ensuring the upkeep of our rail network. As a mechanical tradesperson, you will be responsible for performing routine corrective maintenance and fault repairs on rolling stock.
* Performing regular checks and maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failures.
* Repairing and maintaining large diesel-electric locomotives and related equipment.
* Providing support to other maintenance depots as per agreement.
Your Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* A strong dedication to safety and adherence to technical specifications.
* The ability to interpret technical instructions and drawings.
* Extensive knowledge of equipment functions, defects, and fault-finding.
* Experience with Cummins, EMD, GE, or GM industrial/power generation repairs and diagnostics is highly regarded.
