Job Description
Wood has an immediate requirement for a motivated Trade Assistant with intermediate certificate in Rigging and experience within a heavy industry environment to join our team in Brisbane.
This role is based on site at the Ampol Refinery and a great opportunity to grow your career in the Oil, Gas and Refinery, honing skills and expanding knowledge working alongside a highly skilled team in the industry.
Applicants must have full work rights in Australia to be considered for the role.
The Role
This role is a replacement with the previous incumbent moving to another role within site.
Our ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills assisting the Hot Works crew and work cross functionally with the Mechanical team. This role is a mix of both workshop and site-based work scopes working in operating plant under permit to work system.

Responsibilities
* Ensure all work scope undertaken is carried out in a safe and productive manner
* Total safety attitude in all operations
* Assist trade personnel, welders, pipe fitters and mechanical fitters
* Rigging of pipe work and valves for removal and installation of Pipe, Valves and Mechanical Equipment in a live plant environment
* Forklift operation
* Prepare and maintain worksite
* Assist with ensuring a safe, clean and tidy area
* Follow the schedule communicated by the supervisor
* Support the main activity
* Proactively seek additional tasks where time permits
* Adhere to all company policies.

Qualifications
* Proven maintenance experience in heavy industry environments
* Safety Construction card
* Current Forklift Licence
* Minimum requirement is an Intermediate Rigging ticket
* Confined Space ticket (issued within the past 3 years)
* Working Safely at Heights ticket (issued within past 3 years)
* Current Driver's licence
* Knowledge of permit to work systems would be advantageous.
