Job Title: Clinical Auditor
Job Description:
The Australian Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Agency is seeking a Clinical Auditor to perform dosimetry audits for the Australian Cancer Dosimetry System (ACDS) at radiotherapy facilities across Australia and New Zealand.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform complex dosimetry measurements for the ACDS, including treatment dose assessment using phantoms, beam characterisation, and linac output.
* Lead and participate in ACDS research and development activities, which may lead to conference presentations or peer-reviewed publications.
* Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the ANZ Dataset for internal quality control and audit benchmarking.
* Perform extensive and comprehensive testing measurements of dosimeters, associated equipment, and audit protocols.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Appropriate tertiary qualifications in a branch of the physical sciences.
* Experience as a medical physicist or radiation therapist, or a relevant post-graduate degree.
* Familiarity with the fundamentals of radiation physics and dosimetry, particularly as applied to Australian radiotherapy treatment practice.
* Good communication and scientific/technical writing skills.
