We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Medical Receptionist/Secretary to join a warm, close-knit, Pain Management practice based at the Wesley Hospital. Our client includes 3 three Specialists, who work across four locations, with the Wesley Hospital serving as the main hub.
This is a maternity leave cover contract position, offering part time hours (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday – 24 hours per week), commencing in early September, with a handover period from the current staff member. You will work closely alongside the 2 Medical Secretaries, Practice Manager and Practice Nurse.
Key duties and responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
* Welcome patients into the practice in a friendly, professional manner
* Manage all incoming and outgoing correspondence via phones and emails with patients and other medical professionals
* Preparing patient clinics, management of new patient referrals, booking, cancelling and rescheduling of patient consultation appointments using DirectControl software
* Coordinate theatre lists for 2 Anaesthetists including booking theatre procedures, liaising with hospitals, ensuring patients are consented for their procedures
* Provide adhoc administrative support to the Practice Manager and Specialists as required
In addition to the key duties and responsibilities, Candidates must be able to demonstrate:
* Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or Medical Secretary within a private surgical specialist practice preferred
* Experience using a practice management software platform such as Genie and/or Gentu
* Excellent time management and organisational skills
* Immaculate personal presentation
* High level of communication and interpersonal skills to be able to interact with all levels of people
* Ability to adapt to a fast and dynamic environment
* High level attention to details and accurate data entry skills
Remuneration
A competitive hourly rate is negotiable for the successful candidate based on experience. The successful candidate will be provided with 2-3 weeks of handover and onboarding to the practice as well as consistent support from the Practice Manager and other administrators.
