About The Role

Ready to take your merchandise career to the next level? As a category manager for Mailroom Supplies and Presentation Equipment, you will shape the future of our product offering and deliver exceptional experiences for our customers. You will use your category management knowledge, product development and category management expertise to bring new ranges to life, develop and execute a strategic trade plan that meets category sales, net margin and EBT targets, and deliver growth and profitability across all channels.

What You'll Do

* Lead and innovate: source, negotiate, review and communicate to develop and oversee the category plan.
* Product development: bring new ranges to life and lead our customer‐centric, multi‐channel strategy.
* Market analysis: analyse market trends and customer data to ensure our offerings align with evolving preferences.
* Strategic planning: develop and execute a strategic trade plan to meet sales, net margin and EBT targets, driving growth and profitability across all channels.
* Mentorship: coach, develop and mentor a Category Assistant to support a compelling Cables offer.

About You

We're looking for an experienced commercial category leader with direct sourcing and product lifecycle management experience. You will interpret and act on market trends, build strong cross‐functional relationships, influence and negotiate effectively, and communicate with all key stakeholders. You have an innovative, customer‐centric mindset balanced with commercial acumen and analytical capability, and a focus on continuous improvement.

Key Attributes

* Established analytical capabilities with strong data literacy
* Well‐developed financial/commercial acumen and understanding of merchandise financial KPIs
* Strong communication and negotiation skills to influence and present
* Extensive experience in a merchandise category environment, with direct sourcing expertise at national and international levels
* Ability to identify and act on macro and micro trends
* Demonstrated success in designing and launching products in a retail environment, using trend insights and data‐driven analysis
* Sound interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and communicate with internal and external stakeholders
* Self‐motivated, success‐oriented and a team player with a proactive attitude
* Tertiary study in Business or Commerce is an advantage
