We're looking for a capable, organised and creative Marketing & Events Assistant to help manage enquiries, support weddings and events, and assist with the marketing of our wedding venue and boutique short-stay accommodation.

This role would suit someone with experience or interest in events, hospitality, weddings, marketing, social media, accommodation or customer service.

It could be ideal for a marketing/events student, a parent returning to work, or someone with hospitality experience who wants a more flexible and varied role.

A current RSA is required. Previous venue, wedding or events experience will be highly regarded.

About us

Wildwood Kangaroo Valley is a bush wedding venue set on 100 acres of rainforest in Kangaroo Valley.

We are a small, growing hospitality business with a focus on beautiful guest experiences, strong communication, and thoughtful marketing.

The role

The guaranteed workload is 2 days per week, but we are hoping to find someone who can also check in briefly most weekdays to help keep enquiries and inboxes moving.

The role will include:

* Responding to wedding and accommodation enquiries
* Helping manage our inboxes and guest communications
* Following up wedding leads and helping convert enquiries
* Assisting with event preparation and coordination
* Supporting weddings, planning days, open days and occasional events
* Helping coordinate suppliers, guests and internal team members
* Assisting with basic venue/event operations when required
* Updating listings, packages, templates and guest information
* Helping create and schedule social media content
* Assisting with newsletters, blog posts and marketing campaigns
* Assisting with our short-stay accommodation communications and guest experience

About you

You do not need to know everything already, but you do need to be reliable, organised and comfortable communicating with guests.

You will need:

* A current RSA
* Strong written communication skills
* A warm, professional and guest-focused manner
* Good organisation and attention to detail
* Confidence using email, Google Docs/Sheets and social media
* An interest in weddings, events, hospitality, travel or accommodation
* Ability to work independently once trained
* Willingness to jump between admin, marketing and event tasks
* To be based in or near the South Coast / Shoalhaven / Kangaroo Valley area

Experience with any of the following would be a plus:

* Wedding or event coordination
* Venue operations
* Hospitality service
* Accommodation or short-stay guest communications
* Social media content creation
* Canva
* CRM systems
* Airbnb/short-stay platforms
* Email marketing
* Copywriting or customer service

Hours and flexibility

This is a part-time casual or contractor role, starting at around 2 days per week.

There is flexibility around exact days and hours, but the ideal person would be able to check the inbox briefly on most weekdays so leads and guest messages are not left waiting.

There is room for the role to grow for the right person and to tailor to your interests in marketing, coordination/styling or bar work.

Why this role is different

This is not a standard admin job. You'll be involved in a mix of weddings, venue operations, accommodation, guest experience, marketing and small-business growth.

You'll get to work across two beautiful South Coast hospitality brands and help shape how we communicate with guests, couples and suppliers.
